Athos Hotel - Nydri (Lefkada)

I stayed here for one night and it exceeded my expectations from my previous trip to nydri. The hotel was clean and offered a nice pool area. Staff were pretty good too accommodate us until our transport arrived.

It was reasonably priced, compared to other small hotels. Booked a room with ac. The personnel was efficient as expected. The pool area was very clean and the location was incredible and beautiful, adjacent to the local taverna's, the town centre and the jetty, and the Ferry terminal and Boat Tours to nearby islands. Furthermore, very close to the port...

Relaxing and tidy hotel with flexible staff and lovely views of the mountains and sea. The poolside bar with reasonably priced drinks.

What a great place! The pool was such a lovely retreat and the breakfast options, while simple, were always fresh and kept us fueled. Only downside was the small bathroom layout, but it didn't spoil our stay!

The staff is very friendly and helpful, they're always smiling. :) The pool and both bars are really good, the tree-bar at night with a cocktail is awesome. It's location is perfect, very close to the restaurants/center and the port. Our room was cleaned regularly (every 3-4 days), the balcony is private. We enjoyed the moscito screen as well.

Free parking places at the hotel are very limited in the high-season at night. Although there is a huge parking area next to the hotel (for charge and no discount for the guests). The bathroom/shower could have been bigger.

The hotel is pleasant and clean, nestled in a spotlessly clean building with LOVELY view of the marina. The rooms are spotless and reasonably large and the English breakfast offered has variety of dishes. Special thanks to exceptionally pleasant and welcoming staff for making my stay a very nice experience. The location is marvellous, within walking distance of Dimosari Waterfalls. The venue is in amazing area, close to the marina and surrounding hills, quiet area of Nidri and the center of Nydri. Have a drink at the pool bar. No complaints whatsoever, I would like to go back here again.

Lovely staff generosity

All staff was very kind and sociable.

Poor breakfast, old closet, issue with hot water and water pressure, there was smell from the waste pipe in the bathroom. I can recommend it as a secondary choice.

Friendly staff made our stay

The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout our two-week stay. The air conditioning was a true blessing in the heat, and we loved the spacious pool area that was always well-maintained.

The breakfast could be more varied, feeling repetitive over our stay. The small bathroom layout made it a bit cramped.

The hotel staff were excellent, friendly and could not do enough for you. The hotel was clean and well maintained. It was in a prime position at the sea front with easy access to the town and amenities.

The rooms and shower rooms were adequate but a bit small. The shower was very small and it proved diffuclt to keep water from wetting the shower room.

The staff at the Athos are very friendly and very helpful. The pool area is not very crowded during the week as the main users are Nielsen sailing holidays but on Sunday (change over day) the pool is busy. Its VERY convenient for everything in Nidri whilst still being very quiet. I was there as a single looking at boats but would definitely go back to the Athos. Also the free car parking was very useful.

The only thing that's poor about the Athos is the food. Breakfast is the same very simple meal every (cornflakes etc) and I had a Chicked salad for lunch but had to search for the chicken. I would not eat there as there as so many Tavernas around you don't need to eat there anyway.

The athos was just a letdown, the food was lower than basic, not to mention the parking situation. I was really expecting some free perks or an upgrade, but nope, just regular treatment like everyone else. I almost wrote a good review but i just couldn't.

It has to offer a freshly cooked and adequate breakfast with Yogurt and Melon, as example.
